Glasses and Hats

Aida in glasses (and a cute shot of her snaggletooth)
You can't tell by looking at this picture, but Sophie really wanted to wear this hat and insisted that I help her put it on. This chair is her new seat of choice - she is getting super fast at crawling over to it and hauling herself up...it's enough to cause a heart attack at times!

More food adventures

Besides taking her clothes off at the table, Aida is experimenting with different ways to keep her food for later. Look closely:

Sophie, who would never put broccoli on her head (sure):

As a side note, you may be wondering why our glasses girl isn't wearing her glasses in any of these pictures. Can I say that keeping glasses on a 14-month old is almost impossible? She has gotten a lot better at keeping them on for extended periods of time, but they inevitably come off at the table, as she is putting her hand up to her face too many times to leave them alone. Yes, between Aida grabbing them off her own face and Sophie grabbing them for her, we broke the glasses 2 times in the first 6 days. As if life isn't crazy enough, we are now going to be making regular visits to our friendly neighborhood optometrist. Yay!

Can't leave them alone for a second!

So, yesterday I gave the girls an early dinner so they could be fed and bathed before I left for Bible Study. To give myself a break from the frustration of watching them throw all their food on the floor (grrrr) I went to talk to Elijah in the living room for a minute. He looked at me and said, "It's pretty quiet in there..." always a sign that they are doing something they shouldn't. We walked into the kitchen to see Aida working hard at taking her clothes off. Notice how excited Sophie is in the background:
One arm out, now working on the head:
Yes! Now I'm going to throw this shirt on the floor with my food! Once again, notice Sophie...
Okay, now I want to take my shirt off!

Aida in Glasses!

We found out last week that Aida needs glasses for some slight eye crossing...and after several attempts we finally got them home and on her face this morning. In each of these pictures, her hand is almost in front of her face because she is 1 second away from grabbing them off!

Victory!
My good little girls, brushing their teeth:
